Why families come to us
The SASSA process is hard.
You shouldn’t face it alone.
Three things we promise every single person who reaches out to us.
We stand by you all the way
From the first phone call to the day your grant is approved, you have one person walking beside you. We don’t hand you a form and disappear.
Your documents, sorted properly
Missing or incorrect paperwork is the number one reason applications get rejected. We compile and organise everything before you go anywhere near a queue.
Getting there is handled
No transport? Arranged in advance, to and from SASSA. For many of the people we serve, that one thing is the difference between applying and giving up.

About us
By the community,
for the community
Simplify Grants, trading as Voice of Our Community, is a registered non-profit organisation based in Arcadia, Pretoria. We started because we kept meeting the same person: an older man or woman who qualified for a SASSA grant, but who had no one to help them get it.
Sometimes the barrier was a lost ID. Sometimes it was no taxi fare. Sometimes it was simply not knowing where to start — and being too proud, or too tired, to ask again after being turned away once.
So we go to the people, where they are, and we offer real help with real care.
In their words
Families we’ve walked beside
“My mother was turned away twice because a document was missing. Mari sat with us, made a list, and went with her the next time. Her grant was approved.”
“I had no money for transport and no one to explain the forms to me. They fetched me, waited with me the whole day, and brought me home. I was treated like a person.”
“They helped my uncle off the street — cleaned him up, sorted his ID, and got his grant going. He has a roof over his head now. I cannot thank them enough.”
